Naval Weapons Assembly and Retrieval System

The assembly, testing and preparation of air-launched weapons in ready service form—and their timely delivery to the flight deck aboard an aircraft carrier or amphibious assault ship—is an extremely labor-intensive and time-consuming process that directly affects strike planning and sortie generation rates. Agile Systems Inc. is now developing automation systems to minimize workload in the assembly areas by assisting crew in de-canning missiles and assembling Paveway and JDAM series guided bomb units.

Missile De-Canning & JDAM/Paveway Assembly Workstation

Used in conjunction with a NAVSTORS System-of-Systems to retrieve necessary weapons parts from magazines and lockers, this assembly system has the potential to deliver ready service weapons at a rate that meets the most aggressive strike schedule.
